In Q2, CarMax reported net revenues of $8.1bn. Gross profit per retail used unit rose by $97 per unit, and CarMax's share of the nationwide 0-10-year-old vehicle market continued to increase through July. Total wholesale units decreased by 15.1%, with gross profit per unit declining by $124 per unit.
The number of vehicles CarMax bought from consumers and dealers declined by 8.1% Y/Y.
KMX stock has a P/E of 12.4 and a price-to-book value of 1.8.
